Riverfront Loft

The artful mix of furnishings was a collaborative effort with our London native client. The design savvy is evident the moment you open the door to the loft. The space is spare but not cold and is filled with furniture icons from Florence Knoll and Herman Miller to Eames and George Nelson. We worked hard to curate and edit the furniture. The cozy shag white rug pairs well with the commercial concrete floor. The Italian red leather block sofa by Poltrona Frau reconfigures to align with the mood of the day. And the Arco suspension lamp by Floss floats above. Original brick walls of this Humboldt Loft serve as the perfect backdrop for the great Warhol collection. The design dialogue was so engaging as we remodeled the loft, it was truly a let down when it was all over! This rare chemistry between designer and client will be cherished.

Love doing your laundry!

So why have a drab laundry room? Absolutely no good reason! We took out our Benjamin Moore paint deck and picked bright accent colors for this laundry room remodel! Hand-wash & hang-dry are daily chores in this vibrantly cheerful laundry room. Bora-Bora all-weather drapery from Schumacher is drawn when unannounced visitors arrive. The laminate stainless-like counter is practical when washing artist brushes in the basin. Art-cubbies are back painted with coral and azalea. We painted the old concrete floor Indigo and applied a high varnish and we love the striped washable rug from Dash & Albert. Porcelain flower blossom knobs are from Anthropologie. Efficiently designed without doors, this all-purpose room welcomes more than just laundry.
