MSPMAG Party Blog

Who: American Society of Interior Designers
What: ASID Awards Gala 2011
When: November 10, 2011
Where: IMS
Why: To honor the time, talent and expertise of ASIDMembers who make Minnesota one of the top chapters in the nation

Every year, over 200 interior designers from the Minnesota chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers, showroom professionals, architects, builders, artisans, and other design insiders gather to celebrate the year’s most outstanding interior design projects. Between the very stylish attendees, images of the many stunning projects, and Russell Toscano’s fragrant and fabulous flowers, the gala is always a glittering affair.

There were 82 entries this year, with many exquisite projects from San Francisco to Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Manhattan and the Twin Cities, so the competition was tough and the judging was rigorous.

Lucy Penfield of Lucy Interior Design, in an haute pink dress, took top honors with Best in Show and two first place awards.

The winning projects will be on display at International Market Square for one year, so be sure to stop by and marvel at the incredible breadth and depth of talent in our local design community. To view the complete list of awards, visit mspmag.com.
